Mickey Silberman is the Office Managing Shareholder of Jackson Lewis P.C.’s Denver, Colorado office and leads the firm’s Affirmative Action-OFCCP Practice Group. Mickey represents management exclusively in matters of employment law, specializing in affirmative action and EEO compliance and diversity.
He has helped many national employers develop compliance procedures relating to recruitment, applicant tracking, pre-employment testing, compensation systems, performance assessment, succession planning, etc. In addition, he frequently counsels employers on the development and implementation of diversity initiatives. He also conducts mock audits to help companies assess their compliance with EEO and affirmative action obligations.
He earned his J.D. in 1994 from the St. John’s University School of Law with a concentration in the study of advanced labor law. Mickey graduated with honors from the City University of New York in 1991. He is a member the Colorado state bar.
Mickey and the AAP practice group have prepared more than 1,900 AAPs for clients in a wide range of industries across the country. In the past five years, he has obtained Letters of Compliance in more than 99 percent of the hundreds of audits he has defended. Moreover, of the past 100 audits he has defended, only a handful resulted in on-site visits by the OFCCP.

Laura Mitchell is a Principal in the Denver office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Ms. Mitchell is a member of the firm’s Affirmative Action Practice Group in the firm’s Denver office where she represents management exclusively in all areas of employment law, focusing on affirmative action and EEO. Ms. Mitchell assists clients with the drafting of affirmative action plans, representing government and non-government contractors in Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) matters, preparing for and defending OFCCP audits, and counseling employers on issues stemming from OFCCP regulations. Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Ms. Mitchell practiced as a litigation associate representing management in various matters alleging harassment, discrimination, retaliation and other employment related claims. Most recently, Ms. Mitchell counseled management as an in house attorney with a national telecommunications company.
Ms. Mitchell received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado, graduating summa cum laude. She received her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she served as the Editor of the Preventive Law Journal. Upon graduation, she was admitted to the Order of St. Ives for excellence in academic achievement.
Laura is a member of the Colorado, Denver and Colorado Women’s Bar Associations and is admitted to practice in Colorado State Court, U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
